Thanks to a program from the Environmental Protection Agency, purchasing a new generator under the NESHAP (national emissions standards for hazardous air pollutants) guidelines isn't as burdensome as it might appear. Although the most stringent emissions rule, Tier 4 Final, is now implemented, a program designed to give generator manufacturers some relief is benefiting their customers, as well.
It's no secret that natural gas is being promoted by the industry as a clean alternative to other fossil fuels, or that it is catching on as a replacement for them. A more pressing question for our customers is, What does that mean for power-generation equipment?
