Winter Pack Power Solutions for the most Extreme Conditions

HIPOWER SYSTEMS has created a variety of Winter Pack configurations suitable for generators routinely operating in conditions from 32°F to as low as -50°F.  These packages ensure warm generator starts, greatly reducing engine stress and wear and battery demand. They also help operators surmount the considerable challenge of keeping generators running in cold temperatures.  


HIPOWER Winter Packages offer a solution to the most extreme weather conditions. Our Generators can be equipeed with a variety of optionals that will ensure normal performance at the lowest temperatures.

From hydraulically or electrically operated suttters systems that regulate the airflow inside  the generator enclosure to control panel heaters that mantains a stable temperature inside the control panel enclosure, Hydronic Diesel fired heaters that works independently from the main engine and are able to warm up and have the generator up and running without the idling and eliminating white smoke, oversized red top optima batteries that provide high starting capacity at any temperature, battery blankets to mantain battery warm during generator storage, snow hoods to prevent snow coming inside the generator enclosure, emergency lights to provide visual indication of engine running or general failure and oil make up systems to extend the maintenace periods, all of them working to ensure the availabity of power in any conditions.



Aspace heater that maintains the right temperature inside the control panel enclosure. Designed to provide enclosed electronic equipment with protection from low temperatures, condensation and corrosion.


The PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) heater unit maintains a stable temperature environment within enclosures, allowing critical components to perform with consistent reliability for longer periods.

Automatic radiator shutters are designed to eliminate overcooling and avoid overheating by regulating the amount of ambient airflow through the radiator.


There are two configurations available. The electric version opens and closes in response to a thermostat installed inside the generator enclosure, the hydraulic version shutters open and close in response to changes inengine coolant temperature and helpto maintain optimum engine operating temperatures—all while improvingengine performance, durability, and fuel consumption.

The block heater will maintain an engine’s operating temperature during downtime and serve as an excellent cold weather or emergency starting aid while eliminating needless idling.
HIPOWER Hotstart heaters meet heating requirements for a wide range of engine sizes and applications. Designed to circulate heated coolant through the entire engine block, the Hotstart engine heaters provide even heat distribution resulting in reduced engine wear, quick start-ups and reduced emissions.

HIPOWER Diesel fired heaters are able to warm up the engine in few minutes. The Hydronic 5 works independently of the engine and thus offer a double plus: pre-heating the generatro enclosure and the engine. The heaters are integrated in the cooling system of the engine. The thermal energy gained is then distributed through the engine’s own heat exchanger as forced hot air and this heats the interior of the vehicle via existing air vents.


The engine is warmed up with the residual heat in the cooling water. Their compact size enable a simple installation and eliminates the need for electrical plug-ins. The Hydronic 5 can supply supplemental heat in almost any application deeding auxiliary heat.





HIPOWER Hydronic engine pre-heaters operate as hot water furnaces utilizing the Generator’s own diesel fuel and batteries to produce heat. The heater’s water pump circulates engine coolant to transfer the heat to the engine. These units are also suitable to maintain comfort in most bunk sizes even in extreme cold conditions.


The heaters regulate the coolant temperature between a low of 149°F (65°C) and a high of 167°F (75°C) by automatically cycling the heater between the heat levels to maintain high heat temperature.

Battery pads and blanket-style battery wraps prolong battery life and improve cranking power in the coldest conditions. Engineered to maintain battery temperature at 80°F/27°C.


HIPOWER HOTSTART battery pads & wraps provide enough heat to boost cranking power as much as 75%. Both styles may be specified with or without thermostatic control.

Contaminated crankcase emissions are a serious problem for diesel engine owners and the environment.

These emissions are a result of gas escaping past piston rings and into the crankcase due to high cylinder pressures. In the crankcase, gases are contaminated with oil mist, water, etc. These contaminated emissions escape through the engine breather into the engine compartment  and engine intake system.


Racor CCV Systems offer an effective solution to reduce contaminated crankcase emissions. CCV systems remove crankcase emissions, providing protection for the engine and the environment. In a robust, compact package, the closed crankcase ventilation filter systems provide superior oil coalescence and crankcase pressure control under the most severe conditions.
