Designed to support a wide range of low-voltage stationary applications, these new units are available from 240/120 1PH up to 600/347 3PH, offering versatility and reliable standby power for data management, healthcare, construction, and other critical installations. The HNI Series provides extensive configurability—including fuel types, enclosures, accessories, breaker options, I/O expansions, and more—creating nearly unlimited combinations to meet demanding engineering specifications.
HIPOWER SYSTEMS selected Origin Engines as the preferred prime mover partner for this range. The HNI-30 features the 3.6L naturally aspirated engine, while the HNI-40, HNI-50, HNI-60, and HNI-80 leverage the 3.6L turbocharged intercooled engine. All engines are EPA-certified for 60 Hz emergency standby applications and operate at 1800 RPM, utilizing E-controls Engines management software. Each model is coupled with four-pole Stamford alternators to deliver excellent transient voltage response, with an optional permanent magnet generator and MX341 or MX321 voltage regulator for applications requiring enhanced performance.
The engines are coupled to four-pole Stamford Alternators with AS440 voltage regulators to provide excellent transient voltage response. However, if greater transient voltage response is required then the HNI series can be optioned with a permanent magnet generator and MX341 or MX321 voltage regulator.
CONTROLLERSGenset functions are controlled through a Deepsea DSE 7410 MKII controller. The controller is an auto start control module suitable for a wide variety of single genset applications. The DSE7410 MKII has built in ethernet communication providing advanced remote monitoring as well as being able to be integrated into a building management system via MODBUS.
CIRCUIT BREAKER OPTIONS
The HNI Series is engineered for fast, accessible service. Each model includes four access doors, and service-friendly oil and coolant drain points. The enclosure—fabricated and assembled at HIPOWER’s Olathe, KS facility—is constructed from 11-gauge steel and finished with a powder coat that exceeds a 1400-hour salt spray test, ensuring superior durability for stationary applications.
“Just like in every HIPOWER generator, service accessibility is a forefront in the design process of the HNI series. Without a successful service schedule, emergency standby generators cannot provide power when it is needed most and therefore accessibility to common service items is critical to the success of that schedule.” said Rafael Acosta, President at HIPOWER SYSTEMS.
to be used in the stationary and specifying markets with options ranging from fuel types, enclosures, enclosure accessories, I/O expansions, and breaker types, along many other options creating an almost unlimited number of combinations to be able to meet almost any engineering specification.
